I've actually heard that Haku is sentenced to death in the Japanese version without the English dub. I call up the translation is made and so that the words match with the mouths, so the English-to-Japanese dub isn't exactly correct. Haku is sentenced to expiry, Chihiro goes on with her life, and they don't see each other again.
However, I have questioned this considering Haku is already, in a sense, expressionless. He'due south already in the Spirit World, so how can he die again?
I think it's better to watch the subbed versions rather than the dubbed ones.
